Client Spotlight: Guilford College addresses economic exclusion through entrepreneurship

Guilford College recently launched a new undergraduate course in entrepreneurship in which students address the problem of economic exclusion. Working with local community leaders, students build real ventures relevant to the local community using human-centered design, lean start up, and business model canvas methods. Other new initiatives aimed at solving broader challenges of equity and inclusion include a local partnership for refugee entrepreneurship, a coordinated effort with over 500 colleges to advocate on immigration issues supporting international and refugee students, and academic exchanges with the University of Pretoria.
