Meet Amanda Lee, founder and CEO of The Lee Consultants. She is also a force for good, challenging one of the most persistent misconceptions in our society: that professional success protects someone from domestic abuse. She is dedicated to changing how we talk about and address domestic abuse among high-achieving professionals – a reality that is too often hidden in plain sight. Drawing on her own personal experience and an accomplished legal career, Amanda helps organizations and individuals replace stigma with understanding and compassion, and silence with action and hope.
Her story, recently featured in the Maryland Bar Journal, is both courageous and eye-opening. For years, Amanda maintained an exceptional legal career – arguing cases in state appellate courts, advising a billion-dollar organization, and holding leadership roles – while privately enduring abuse at home. From that lived experience, TLC was born.
As a consultant, Amanda is speaking up – and speaking out – to help individuals find safety and stability, and encourage workplaces to rethink policies and practices, engage in difficult conversations, and commit to supporting employee well-being in tangible ways such as offering specific services as part of employee benefit packages.
When Amanda set out to formalize and grow her consulting and coaching practice, she trusted Nazareth Bonifacino Law to help bring her vision to life. Natasha Nazareth worked with her to form her company, fine-tune her business model, and develop a comprehensive set of client and service provider contracts.
